PURPOSES:

To facilitate dissemination of the scientific work of the Center by:

• Promoting exchange among center affiliates of scientific information related to health promotion and disease prevention in underserved populations
• Disseminating scientific information related to health promotion and disease prevention in underserved populations to scientists, clinicians, policymakers and consumers.

ACTIVITIES:

• Providing consultation to affiliates as needed to identify training needs in areas of health promotion/disease intervention with underserved populations, and to increase dissemination of their research findings.
• Continuing to utilize the Dissemination Advisory Panel to meet purposes and goals of the Core
• Exploring opportunities to partner with professionals who may assist with dissemination to providers/clinicians such as diabetes educators
• Enhancing affiliate researcher dissemination capabilities through updating notebook with Guidelines for Submissions by Authors of various health-related journals in CHPR resource room
