  ANGS has the following leadership opportunities. This is your opportunity to make a difference at the University of Texas School of Nursing for yourself and your fellow graduate students in nursing!

Elected positions:

  • President
  • 1st VP
  • 2nd VP
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary
  • PhD Representative
  • MSN Representative
  • AEMSN Representative

Please see the Bylaws for specific responsibilities of these positions, or contact one of your current officers for information.

Also, there are several committee representative positions available. These entail very little time commitment, usually less than one meeting/month.

  • Graduate Curriculum Committee (GCC)
  • Graduate Studies Committee (GSC)
  • Student Advisory Committee To the Provost (SACP)
  • Health Services Fee Advisory Committee (HSFAC)
  • Student Affairs Committee (SAC)
  • Graduate Research Committee (GRC, PhD only)

There are many ad-hoc “project manager” positions available. ANGS encourages graduate students to bring forward ideas of interest, and we will consider sponsoring the activity! Examples in the past year included a blood drive, several PhD Brown Bag seminars, and some special interest APN brown bags. ANGS also supports undergraduate organizations.
