Guidelines for Student Scholarships
Purpose of the Scholarship The purpose of the scholarship is to recognize outstanding scholarship by nursing students who are advancing knowledge in the areas of nursing science and practice.
Criteria 1. Enrolled in a baccalaureate, Master’s or doctoral program in nursing 2. Complete the Student Scholarship application form 3. Proved a written statement of personal and professional goals that describe your scholarly activities 4. Submit three letters of recommendation: two from faculty members and one from a professional associate 5. A vitae is suggested
Competitive basis for award 1. Quality of written goals 2. Contribution or potential contribution to nursing and public benefit 3. Scholarship fund budget and number of proposals submitted 4. Amount varies based on number of qualified applicants and funds available
When and Where to Submit Applications Due: 5:00 pm March 13, 2009
